Local business owner, Adam Shepherd, started his More Than Loft Ladders operation in 2012. Coming from a multi-trades background, he was fortunate that the work came naturally to him. In fact, Adam has been working in the home improvement industry since his late teens, starting out installing kitchens and bathrooms then moving into joinery and specialist roof work. This has given him a wealth of experience and expertise that he has put to good use helping the people of Cheshire and Staffordshire make better use of their lofts. Living in Cheshire himself means Adam is never far away from his customers and he says he appreciates working locally supporting his own community.

“We’re giving homeowners extra space in their homes, and that can only be a good thing,” Adam says.

“My approach, which is the same for all my More Than Loft Ladders partners, is simply to deliver on my promises. I always turn up when I say I will which, sadly, isn’t always the case with many tradespeople today. I know what I’d expect from a tradesperson, though, and so do my family and friends. It’s not difficult to simply turn up on time, be polite and helpful and listen to what the customer wants to achieve. And what’s great is that, if you do that and you deliver on your promises, you get lots more customers through word-of-mouth and from recommendations. That’s how I’ve grown my business over the years.”

Outside of work Adam enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, looking after his flock of chickens and getting out and about off road in his Land Rover.
